Description

This proposal introduces the latest Injective mainnet upgrade, purpose built to establish Injective as the definitive settlement layer for real time stablecoin infrastructure and programmable payments at scale.

The upgrade will enforce strict metadata validation during ERC20 token pair creation, ensuring every asset migrated onto Injective or minted across the shared liquidity layer meets full interoperability standards from genesis. This is foundational architecture for institutional grade stablecoin rails as Circle's native USDC issuance scales on Injective.

Derivative market resilience across the Injective onchain orderbook module will be strengthened with refined liquidation logic that prevents execution blocks above open notional thresholds, preserving continuous market uptime even under extreme volatility. Position margin controls will also be tightened with embedded send restrictions, enforcing precise collateral accounting at the protocol level.

As stablecoins evolve from simple transfers into programmable money powering agentic commerce, machine to machine payments and real time global settlement, Injective will provide the network layer these use cases require following this mainnet upgrade.

If passed, this proposal will commit the Injective blockchain to halt at a target block height of 161472000 (approximately 14:00 UTC / 10:00 ET on April 7th, 2026) and resume with the v1.18.3 version of the Injective Chain application binary.
